About Us

We are a small software workshop committed to developing the best laboratory tools that are technically superior yet delightful to use.

Qvios was founded by Jori Blomqvist, a cell biologist and lab automation expert, who worked with numerous academic, diagnostic, and biotech labs. He observed the same issues everywhere: scientists relying on outdated, inefficient, and fragmented tools to manage complex experiments. This leads to wasted time, inconsistent data, and unnecessary friction in daily lab work. Qvios was created to solve this problem — a modern, intuitive platform designed by someone with a deep understanding of both wet-lab science and the software supporting it.

We are currently a member of the Starthub business incubator in Lahti, Finland.

Our Operational Principles

    Accessible Tools

Everyone deserves access to top-notch tools. Our goal is to create software that is powerful, easy to use, and accessible. High-quality software accelerates discovery, minimizes errors, and lets scientists focus on what really matters without adding complexity.

    No Shady Business

Here’s how we operate: Qvios is the product we offer, and our customers are you—end of transaction. We never share or sell your data to third parties.

    Sustainability

At Qvios, we believe customers shouldn’t worry about a product’s environmental impact. Every business should minimize harm from producing goods and services. That’s why we handle emissions from using Qvios, so you don’t have to.
